Rainne was a common comer to the streets of Chicago at night. The city seemed so much more alive then, the people she met and the people she spent the night with where so much better then those that where out during the day - at lest, in her opinion. Rainne wasn't the type to go to parties or clubs, so for the nights events she headed to local bars that allowed people in under age, as long as they weren't drinking. Tonight, Rainne was heading to a local bar that had an open Mic night, no doubt many great artists would be there. She needed something soothing to take her mind off recent events.
The things that have been happening her life at the moment where stressful, and no doubt a good song could calm her nerves. She let out a sigh, her fangs invisible behind her pale pink lips. What a strange mix she was - demon and vampire. She gave a small scowl at the thought. If she ever found the demon that had raped her mother, she would rip his head off and use it as a bowling ball. She shook her head a bit, a cool breeze offering relief to the normal day's heat as she pushed a stray piece of blond hair from her eyes, they outlined heavily in black eyeliner. Pushing her hand against the door, Rainne entered the bar, unknowing of what to come across inside.
Of course, it was a typical bar. the buzzing of drunk adults, the nauseating scent of people smoking in the back - weed or cigarettes, it didn't matter all too much - and the odor of man sweat coming from the people who decided to start a mosh pit up in front of the stage. Music, loud and heavy played. Rainne gave a grunt. Sure, she liked her share of metal bands but this was just utter noise. She was hoping for something with some kind of musical talent behind it, but she guessed it just wasn't going to happen tonight. Taking a seat, she ordered herself a water and took a sip. It was going to be a rather long night.

Tristan yearned for the night. It was much quieter than during the day. And not many people were usually out to bug him. Although, if they were, he may feel the need to eat. The life of a vampire was tough. Especially a non-born vampire. It had already been 7 years and he still wasn't used to it. And it wasn't hard for many people to tell. A pale complexion and grey-tinted eyes were an odd thing to see. His mind was relaxed at night. A little bit of music and noise once in a while couldn't be so bad, could it?
Bars were always open at night. And occasionally some of them had an open mic night. Or as Tristan thought of it, more noise. This could be fun He began pushing open the door and heard the talking and music coming from inside. Or maybe not. He stepped inside and slid through the crowd. No one seemed to care. Everyone was drunk or passed out or high. It seemed like school. A man almost fell on top of Tristan. Too much like school.
He leaned up against the bar. Not asking for a drink. Its not like he would really taste anything. Nothing tasted too different to Tristan. He gazed aroudn the room for any sign of familiarity. Nothing really. Just a band with some guys he didn't know. And a girl who looked familiar, possibly from school, but at least she wasn't passed out. She wasn't that far from him. He tried calling out to her, if possibly just to talk, "Hey! You from around here?"

Her attention focused on the cup of water that rested in front of her, Rainne moved her hand around slowly, the water int he cup moving clockwise with the motion. She stared at it, wondering why on Earth she bothered to order it anyway - everything to her tastes the same. Well, has no taste. The simple sweet joy of an ice cream, the sour but sweet taste that comes from select fruits - it meant nothing to her. There was only one thing in the world that actually had a taste to Rainne, and that was Blood. She was just happy she didn't have to drink it as often as every other Vampire, considering she was only half vampire - the rest of her was demon. Hey, her dad did something right.
Looking to the Main stage, Rainne heard the loud obnoxious noise that was coming from the mass amps finally seize. She gave a sigh "Thank God," she spat under her breath, the person behind the bar giving a small laugh at her - looked as though he agreed. Rainne flashed a small smile, placing her cup down on the counter only to hear the noise start up again. It seemed they had one more song on their plate. She cringed a bit - her ears where rather sensitive. Good thing too, or she wouldn't have heard the boy calling her name.
Blinking, Rainne glanced behind her to see a boy waving her way and calling to her. She smiled - her fangs mostly visible - and waved back. "Ya, I am! come closer so I can hear you and Don't have to Yell!" she said to him, gesturing with her hand for him to come on over and take a seat with her. It was too loud to be shouting across the Bar, even though he wasn't that far away if he came close Rainne could hear him better - not to mention it was a tad bit rude to the band and the people here. They may suck, but she has to be some kind of nice. taking in his appearance, Rainne arched her eyebrow. Pale Grey eyes, pale skin just like hers.
Was he a vampire too?

Tristan realized that he had shouted at the same time the band stop playing. He felt awkward for a moment. But he noticed that the girl had acknowledged him and he moved closer towards her so that he could talk normally and wouldn't shout. Although something about her struck his interest. She had plale skin almost like his. But there was something weird about her that he couldn't figure out. Could she have also been a vampire? He had known that there had to be another one in here.
Tristan took a seat by her and rested his arm on the bar. He had noticed something about her teeth when she spoke. They had an odd point to them. Almost like his. Hmmm...I wonder His mouth opened to speak a few times but nothing came out. Finally he thought of something, "So..What are you doing by yourself in a place like this? It seems unnatural for a girl to be by herself with a bunch of drunk slobs." He thought about it for a little bit more. "Unless they're staying away because they know something about you."

Rainne gave a small grin when he had yelled when the band ad stopped, but it seemed no one had actually noticed. Taking her cup of water and taking a sip, Rainne placed it back down on the bar, swallowing. She had to stop doing that - nervous habit to drink it even though there was no taste and no point. Rainne looked around, the constant smell of B.O getting stronger as the band continued to play in the background. Looking to the boy who had got her attention, Rainne let a soft smile still rest on her face, watching as he went to say something, but nothing came out. She arched her eyebrow, examining his teeth. She thought she saw some point to them, more then usual anyways. She couldn't be sure though.
With his silence soon came questions. Rainne smirked - he must be a vampire if he is saying things like that, but she couldn't be sure, and she couldn't be too careful. She played it off well, she thought. "Well, I normally come here by myself. I'm a regular, I guess you can say" she told him, leaning her arm on the bar as well. It was nice to be talking to him without having to shout. She grinned. "Well, I guess I just have a deadly bite. I tend to bite their heads off often - they do annoy me so" she told him with a small nod. Maybe he picked up on it a bit. She could only hope.
"I'm Rainne" she offered a name after a few moments. No sense not knowing who the other was.

Tristan licked his fangs as she spoke. It was an odd habit. But it felt good to him. And no one could tell. He could hide them for as long as he wanted. He wouldn't think of this as a place to be a regular at. It didn't seem like most of these people had regular sight or lives. They were all in one huge stinking, puking, drinking group. It wasn't right. This place felt like a crime against humanity. "Well...No offense, but this doesn't seem like the kind of place I'd like to be considered a regular." He grinned a little. He wanted to let her know he was joking around.
Hmm...Bite jokes. She probably thinks I dont get it.Tristan laughed a little. His fangs ached a little. It had been a while. He decided on a little fang humour. Opening is mouth a little more, Tristan poked his fangs with his teeth. "Well, I guess I get your point." Tristan let his grin faulter a little. That was pretty bad. And he knew it. But he wasn't here to use his brain. Just to relax. Although. This could get interesting for him.
"The name's Tristan."

Rainne, now taking in the sad state of the bar realized that she probably made herself off to look rather trashy at being a regular here. She could say it wasn't normally like this, but she would be completely lying to the boy that sat next to her, because it usually was. But to Rainne this was one of the only places she could come to escape the normal, stressful hateful life that she lived back at home. It wasn't her mother, it wasn't her house or the school she went to. It was the war, in general. He cause so many people pain, but her more then others, that she knew for sure. She caught his grin and shot one right back. "Well, They normally have good bands here. This one is just a rather sad excuse for music" she said, using her head to gesture to the stage. Being a musician herself, Rainne knew when she came across something that wasn't noise - and sadly, that is all this was.
Catching that he caught what she was throwing at him, Rainne couldn't help but let out a hardy laugh at his attempt to throw the biting joke right back at her. She kept her attention focused don him, and Rainne could see some of his fangs poking out from behind his bottom lip. There was no doubt. "Wow, I;m sorry Love but that was bloody horrible" she told him with a full out laugh, calming down a bit as the moment passed. "Nice try though" she told him with a grin, rolling her shoulders back a bit, a small crack coming from them as she did. "It's a pleasure Tristan. Truly it is. I was starting to think I was the only one around in this town.." she began, glancing at him with a uneasy stare. Lets see the response - hopefully he isn't a mortal that is just playing along with her...she might scare him away.

"The only one who what? These?" Tristan questioned, showing a small glimpse of his fangs again. Its not like many people had them. Why would someone pretend to have them? Most of these humans seemed to be to busy beating each other. Once again, just like at school. Although here everyone was older. It wasn't the nicest place he'd admit. But Tristan could see the one benefit of being here. That was escape from normality. Even he had to do it sometimes. Nothing is always so pleasant.
"What I said early about this place. I didn't mean to offend you if it did. I was just...nevermind. Let's leave it at that." Tristan said. His eyes glanced around the room again. The band seemed like it was almost done. Tristan was thinking about breaking their equipment. Or unplugging it. Maybe he could hit a power button or something. It could really help.
Something he had been thinking about earlier now wanted to be asked. "So, do you go to school near here as well? Or do you not go to school?" He wondered if she went to his school. What a dump it was. Everyone was fighting each other. For reasons Tristan didn't really understand. Probably over girls. It seemed like what a lot of the guys fought over.

ll So tired. >.> Last post for me, then off to bed. :3 ll
Rainne looked over to Tristan, seeing him show his fangs slightly to her before covering them back up with his bottom lip. She grinned. "Ya, one of those" she told him, allowing hers to show a bit as well. She played with the idea of telling him that she was half vampire half demon - it was a rare mix, so she was told - but she eliminated it from her mind. She didn't want to give off too much information about herself when she had just met Tristan. Looking back to the band she heard them start to quiet down, though the roaring crowd didn't seem to want them to go. Rainne wondered what the hell they saw in the band - supposed she'd never know.
Glancing back to Tristan, she gave a small smile. "Don't worry about it. I'm not that easily offended" she gave a small chuckle. "Besides, you are right. But this place is good to get away from things...even if you only run into something worse" she gave a small scuff, glancing over his shoulder at the guys fighting behind him. She rolled her eyes a bit at the immature behavior. It was just so stupid - though, she shouldn't be one to talk. She fights often, and hopefully wont have to fight for Naro once she gets away from him. She had fights in school with obnoxious idiots, and spares with her mom often. But she rarely gets into something she doesn't have a reason for. But this brawling is just stupid.
Rainne nodded a bit to his next comment. "I do go to that god forsaken school..." she sighed a bit. "Unfortunately. I am starting to lose all hope in the human population to ever get better then the sad state it's in" she told him, hearing the movement of equipment behind her. She glanced over her shoulder. "Finally! Next band, please" she said in an excited tone, looking to see if she could spot one of the next band members, but no such luck. She gave a small pout, looking back to Tristan. "I take it you go to the school as well. Pity, I never see you there.." she told him with a small smile. She was happy she had met Tristan, at lest she knows she's not alone - and he seemed like a good companion.

Tristan watched the crowd as the band finally started leaving. Obviously being drunk also affected your taste in music. Maybe it was a good thing Tristan didnt drink because then he might've had to kill himself. Now they were setting up for the next band. He couldn't see any of the members and wondered if it was over. "Well being one of these can be fun sometimes. Especially if you enjoy it." He spoke, noticing hers as well. Tristan wondered if any of these humans had any idea what was in their midst. He didn't like the idea of confrontation. But he also couldn't help but feel there was a bigger one coming. Almost like a war.
Tristan had heard the two men fighting behind him but didn't care to notice. The only way he would've given them attention was by ending their pitiful lives. Such idiotic behavior these people have. It was pointless to even try to stop a fight. It always pulled you in too. And a bar brawl was definately something Tristan didn't want happening right now. "This is the exact reason the humans are going to be in trouble soon. They're always fighting with each other." Tristan spoke in a low tone, trying not to attract any attention.
"That school is eactly like this place. People are drunk, high, or fighting. It's appalling." He stated. She was right. The human population was in a very bad state. And there didn't seem to be anyway of fixing it. "Yes I do go to that school. And usually I try to seclude myself from other people. Most of them just want answers and money." Tristan rubbed his forehead, feeling almost like this place could give a normal person a migrain. "But I have seen you walking around in the halls. Are you usually by yourself there too? Or is this just kind of a night time thing?"
