Something wicked this way comes, a saying usually said by those few who knew Vexzel was coming. But this late night no one seemed to be aware of the dark winged figure landing on one of the taller buildings.
The white blood-stained cloak stood out against the rest of his clothing and crow-like wings. As always there was the Ebony Stone hanging from his left ear. This time he appeared to be about twenty years old, but that could change.
Vexzel's wings folded around the vampire as a blood red glow came from beneath his cloak. The Sounga's jewel had begun to glow as a deep, malevolent voice echoed from the blade.
"Vexzel! Are you sure you've found the right place?" It was obvious just how irritated Sounga was. Even it's demonic aura began to flare up in anger.
"If that demon's babbling were right shouldn't this area be swarming with auras!? Why do I sense nothing!? ANSWER ME!"
Sounga practically screamed as it's impatience turned to rage. Now a voice like this would carry, the sword's recklessness had probably already alerted someone to their presence.
There was no way a mere demon sword's temper could intimidate Vexzel...... nothing did for that matter. "Sounga....... Shut up!." Vexzel's voice was far different, his voice sounded young, hollow, and as cold as the grave. "If you keep these outbursts up I'll cast you back into the netherworld where I found you."
Sounga simply growled in response as the red glow dimmed, the demonic aura fading with it and soon both were gone. The sword chose rather to keep dormant than deal with this obnoxious upstart.
So what if Sounga owed Vexzel it's freedom? Sounga would never allow itself to be banished back into the Netherworld, even if it would have to tolerate this vampire.
If I had only known of this sword's ego, I would have left it to rot in the Netherworld. Vexzel thought. Though simply letting Sougna loose to it's own ends would be too troublesome. Especially knowing that the last time that happened Sougna tried to destroy all of humanity. Then again so long as Sounga feared being sent back into exile it would obey Vexzel.
Now he began to contemplate how to go about this. Vexzel could just send a familiar to hunt down whatever auras it found. Or maybe just pick a nice high school girl and find out what California girls taste like. Though if he didn't kill someone soon Vexzel knew Sounga would never keep quiet.
For now Vexzel chose to wait. Sougna's outburst must have gotten someone's attention.
